Who are the top lenders this week for the best mortgage deals on the market?

Twenty7tec brings you the best offers for house buyers this week, revealing how these fare against competitor rates.

 

The married couple 

A married couple, aged 42 and 44, with two children, are buying a £525k house. £385k mortgage, 15-year term, LTV 73.33%, earnings of £85k and £57k

2 year fixed 

Santander take the lead this week, with the new best rate of £2884.29, a slight decrease from Barclay’s offer last week of £2889.38.

The average of the top ten lenders this week is £2897.52, down 0.97% from last week’s average of £2926.05.

5 year fixed 

The best deal for a 5-year fixed mortgage this week is also Santander, offering £2872.63, a slight drop from Virgin Money’s best offer last week of £2874.83.

The offers of the top ten lenders average £2880.79 this week, down 0.24% from the average last week of £2887.99.

 

The London professionals

A married couple, aged 45 and 48, with three children. £1m house. £500k mortgage, 15-year term, LTV 50%, both earn £85k each

Mortgage

Barclays stays on top with the best offer this week, remaining at £3730.24.

This week’s average of the top ten lenders falls by 0.91% from £3779.22 to £3744.75.

Remortgage

Skipton secures the top spot again this week with a new offer of £3541.35.

This week, the average for the top ten lenders is £3738.46, meaning a slight percentage decrease of 0.64% from last week’s average of £3762.60.

 

First-time buyers

An unmarried couple, aged 29 and 28, with no children, are buying a £525k house with a £50k deposit from the BOMAD, 25-year term, LTV 90.48%. One earns £85k, the other earns £57k

The best offer for a 63-month fixed term rate stays the same as last week with Skipton BS, sticking with an offer of £2757.58.

The average rate for a mortgage from the top ten lenders is now £2780.64, down 0.22% from last week’s average rate of £2786.83.

For a two-year fixed mortgage, the best offer on the market this week goes to Skipton BS, with a rate of £2,889.34.

In addition, Skipton BS remains on top with the best rate for a five-year fixed mortgage, with the same offer as last week of £2757.58.

 

Couple in their twenties

An unmarried couple, aged 28 and 29, on 38k and 32k, who have one child, are looking to buy a house 170k with a 20k deposit.

If you’re a couple in your twenties, the best deal this week is £830.67, an increase of 4% from last week’s offer from the Co-op Bank of £798.70.

This week’s average for the top ten lenders rises to £836.88, up 1.21% from last week’s average of £826.84.

 

Single person

Single person with no children after a 190k home with a 60k deposit.

Sitting on top this week with the best offer is from Santander, with a rate of £632.23, a slight increase from Co-op Bank’s top offer of £626.92 last week.

The average of the top ten lenders this week is £633.92, a decrease of 0.38% from last week’s average of £636.35.
