What are the best offers on the mortgage market?

With the bank holiday weekend looming, Twenty7tec shares the best offers on the market for set persona from the top ten mortgage lenders.

 

The married couple 

A married couple, aged 42 and 44, with two kids buying a £525k house. £385k mortgage, 15-year term, LTV 73.33%, earnings of £85k and £57k

 

2 year fixed 

AIB remains in first place for the best two years fixed mortgage at the rate of  £2945.22. The average of the top ten lenders goes up 0.17% to £2986.55.

 

5 year fixed 

Nationwide is still the best choice for a five-year fixed deal at £2927.26. The average from the top ten lenders is up to £2933.34 from last week’s £2929.56.

 

The London professionals

A married couple, aged 45 and 48, with three kids. £1m house. £500k mortgage, 15-year term, LTV 50%, both earn £85k each

 

Mortgage

Santander takes the lead with a new offer of £3860.83. The average goes up by 0.09% to £3866.12 from last week’s £3862.38.

 

Remortgage

There has been no change for the best offer, which stays with Skipton at the same offer of £3,603.68. The average of the top ten lenders is up slightly to £3815.31 from £3814.28.

 

First-time buyers

An unmarried couple, aged 29 and 28, no kids, buying a £525k house with a £50k deposit from the BOMAD, 25-year term, LTV 90.48%. One earns £85k, the other earns £57k

Nationwide continues to lead with the same offer of £2807.75. The average mortgage rate is now at £2844.36, up 0.89% from  £2819.26 last week.

Nationwide also remains in the lead for the cheapest provider for a five-year fixed rate mortgage at £2807.75.

 

Couple in their twenties

An unmarried couple, aged 28 and 29, on £38k and £32k, who have one child looking to buy a house for £170k with a £20k deposit.

Clydesdale Bank takes the top spot for a rate of £854.16 knocking HSBC from its two-week reign. The average from the top ten lenders is up to £860.25 up 0.41% from last week’s £856.72.

 

Single person

Single person with no children after a £190k home with a £60k deposit.

AIB is still number one but with a new offer of £646.39 up from £634.96. The average of the top ten lenders goes up to 3653.63 from £652.78.
