The best mortgage offers this week from the top ten lenders.

This week, there’s little change across the selected persona, with the biggest shift in offers for remortgage for the London professional persona.

The married couple 

A married couple, aged 42 and 44, with two children, are buying a £525k house. £385k mortgage, 15-year term, LTV 73.33%, earnings of £85k and £57k

 

2 year fixed 

Barclays Bank takes the top spot for the best offer this week of £2873.83, down slightly from Santander’s top offer last week of £2884.29. 

The average of the top ten lenders this week is £2903.72, up 0.21% from last week’s average of £2897.52. 

 

5 year fixed 

The best price for a 5-year fixed mortgage this week is £2855.13, offered by Nationwide BS, a slight decrease from the best offer last week from Santander, at £2872.63.

The average of the top ten lenders dropped 0.09% this week from last week’s average of £2880.79 to £2877.96.

 

The London professionals

A married couple, aged 45 and 48, with three children. £1m house. £500k mortgage, 15-year term, LTV 50%, both earn £85k each 

 

Mortgage

Barclays remains on top with the best offer this week, with a new price of £3725.20.

The average of the top ten lenders now sits at £3752.84, up 0.21% from last week’s average of £3744.75.

 

Remortgage

Skipton stays on top again this week with the same best offer of £3541.35.

The average of the top ten lenders this week is £3705.71, a decrease of 0.87% from last week’s average of £3738.46. 

 

First-time buyers

An unmarried couple, aged 29 and 28, with no children, are buying a £525k house with a £50k deposit from the BOMAD, 25-year term, LTV 90.48%. One earns £85k, the other earns £57k

 

Skipton secures the top spot again for a 63-month fixed-term rate but with a new offer of £2773.40.

The average rate for a mortgage from the top ten lenders now sits at £2780.93, a slight improvement from last week’s average of £2780.64.

Nationwide offers the best rate for a 24-month fixed term rate, at £2849.70.

Skipton BS remains at the top of the table for a five-year fixed-rate mortgage for the best price, with a new offer of £2773.40. 

 

Couple in their twenties

An unmarried couple, aged 28 and 29, on 38k and 32k, who have one child looking to buy a house 170k with a 20k deposit.

 

This week’s best deal on the market for a couple in their twenties is Virgin Money, offering a rate of £830.67. 

This week, the average of the lenders’ rates is £837.209, a small increase from last week’s average of £836.88.

Single person

A single person with no children after a 190k home with a 60k deposit.

 

Nationwide takes over the top spot this week, offering a new rate of £627.75.

The average of the offers on the market for a singleton buying this week is £632.975, down slightly by 0.14% from last week’s average of £633.92.
